Leonardo DiCaprio

Me right now.

My Ultimate Pet Peeves:

  • When people think there was enough room on the door in Titanic and get mad at Rose for not moving over.

First off If you pay attention to the movie they SHOW them both attempting to get on the piece of furniture. They can’t both be on it without it flipping over. She couldn’t move over there wasn’t enough room for them both. Jack wanted the woman he loved to stay on it because he loved her and he is a gentleman. He wanted Rose to be on it so one of them had a chance to survive. He was just saving her.

  • When People get mad at Rose for letting go of Jack’s hand after she said she would “Never let go.”

Jack: Listen, Rose. You’re gonna get out of here, you’re gonna go on and you’re gonna make lots of babies, and you’re gonna watch them grow. You’re gonna die an old… an old lady warm in her bed, not here, not this night. Not like this, do you understand me?
Rose: I can’t feel my body.
Jack: Winning that ticket, Rose, was the best thing that ever happened to me… it brought me to you. And I’m thankful for that, Rose. I’m thankful. You must do me this honor. Promise me you’ll survive. That you won’t give up, no matter what happens, no matter how hopeless. Promise me now, Rose, and never let go of that promise.
Rose: I promise.
Jack: Never let go.
Rose: I’ll never let go, Jack. I’ll never let go.

If you actually pay attention to anything Jack says the whole thing is she would never let go of his promise NOT his hand. Let’s all face it. Jack is dead. What do you guys think? That was Rose suppose to drag Jack’s dead body around her whole life? She let him go so she could go and get a whistle to get the lifeboat’s attention and never let go of her promise to survive for Jack. When she physically let go of his hand she was just trying to never let go of his promise. She never did let go of his promise and never gave up, survived, and died and old lady warm in her bed.

/Rant Over/

coeurdelamer:

When Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) is preparing to draw Rose (Kate Winslet), he tells her to “Over on the bed, uh I mean couch.” The line was scripted “Over on that couch”, but DiCaprio made an honest mistake and James Cameron liked it so much he kept it in.
